Windows 10 Pro Installation Issues on old comp that had Windows 10 Home – RedFlagDeals.com Forums

The situation is that I have an old Core 2 Duo desktop machine that I\’m planning on giving to my nephew for his school works. All he really needs is word processing and browsing with the occasional Minecraft for education stuff. I pulled out the old SSD that had Win10 Home installed and put it into my laptop to reuse the drive. Laptop works no issues. However, on the desktop when I went to install win10 Pro on it, it tells me that the product is already licensed to a win10 Home and can\’t be activated. Is there a way I can install win10 pro on here as I believe it\’s keyed to the motherboard no? Already tried formatting the hdd to no avail. Thanks for advice.
