Strange issue with Windows network and neighbour\’s MiBox – RedFlagDeals.com Forums

I noticed today that when I view my Network in Win10 Explorer on my laptop, I see a new intruder appearing in the usual list of stuff like computers and WiFi printers on my network. It\’s labeled as a Phone device, and the properties say that it\’s a MiBOX3 PRO. It has a MAC address but no IP address. It pops in and out of appearing every few minutes. It\’s not in the list of attached devices on my router, and it doesn\’t show up in the Network from my Win7 desktop, but even when I change WiFi networks on the laptop it\’s still there on the Network page.I found an explanation of the issue here, reassuring me that it\’s not a security issue: https://appuals.com/fix-unknown-strange … g-network/My best guess is that it\’s a neighbour\’s MiBox which is constantly trying to connect to my WiFi. Is this something common to MiBox, or have they got a setting wrong?
