SKYPE now officially retired by MS on Windows Phone and TVs – Forums

Even though i dont use much SKYPE, but i thought it might be useful for some. I believe its pretty bad when a company like MS dont want to support their own product on their own hardware and platform. Its like accepting \”We FAILED\” Just got this email today from Microsoft :\” We’ve noticed that you are, or previously were, using Skype on Windows Phone 8, Windows Phone 8.1, Messaging app for Windows 10 Mobile, Windows RT or a TV. We’re sorry to inform you that we will be permanently retiring these versions of Skype. As a result, after Ju‍ly 1, 20‍17, you will no longer be able to sign in to these versions of Skype.\”Here is the LINK

I think Microsoft has pretty much killed Skype. We used to use it a lot, but switched to Whatsapp when it became increasingly difficult to contact anyone with Skype seemingly unable to ring on either Android or iOS.Way to blow $8.5 billion Microsoft! I\’m impressed! If you\’re going to kill another multi-billion $ service, can I suggest LinkedIn? :)
