OEM Windows 10, did clerk misinform me? – RedFlagDeals.com Forums

So I\’m upgrading to windows 10 from windows 7 and I noticed there was a $50 price difference between an OEM version and a non OEM version. When I asked the clerk he said it was due to lack of packaging and materials but there is zero difference between the two versions. When I googled it at home, it says OEM is locked to one computer and can not be used on any other machines. I religiously reformat my computer every 2 months, will this be an issue? Can the software tell it\’s the same machine? What happens when i reformat, am I going to have to call somebody everytime? What happens when I get new graphics card or something and then reformat?Any other issues that I need to be aware of?Thanks

The license is stored in the BIOS not your hard drive.
