New Motherboard, Windows 10 Invalid – RedFlagDeals.com Forums

Ok, so I am fixing my parent\’s PC because the motherboard died; no big deal, until Windows 10 started complaining it\’s not authentic. This OS was upgraded from Windows 7 (legit) to Windows 10 (back when it was free); using the Windows 7 key, it doesn\’t work. Am I hooped? Seems like the only way I can do this is to re-install Windows 7 on the new motherboard, and re-upgrade to Windows 10. There has to be an easier way, without having to pay $199 (this is currently a PRO license, though I don\’t care if it gets downgraded to the gimped one).
