Does windows10 do any upscaling? – RedFlagDeals.com Forums

Let me explain. I bought a wasabi mango u40- something back a few months ago and it is advertised as 4k or 3840X2160. My old conputer with a gtx960 ran it fine even played games on It great. Now with my new card, rx480 I noticed I can put it in 5k resolution and run it in 60Hz. Tried googling to see if anyone else mentioned this about it but wasnt able to corroborate Thia finding. I wondered if win10 does anything weird about resolution upscaling by shrinking thr icons and text to give that illusion of greater real estate. I tried making a blank 5k wallpaper and sure enough I need to scroll to see the entirety of it.The thing I hate about win10 in 4k or greater is the ugly icons and text in programs are all aliasing. Microsoft needs to offer a download for higher resolution users. They can do it for Forza and Gears why not windows?
